Welcome To Our Website!

As you know, we have been a family owned and operated garden center and farm market since 1949, providing customers with a wide variety of annuals, perennials, and shrubs throughout the growing season. From June to October we offer fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers throughout Maine. We can supply everything you will need for your gardens, from the pots to plant, to the book that tells you the best way to make it grow, and the mulch, loam and compost for the finishing touch.

We dedicate ourselves to helping you find exactly what you want and need to create the outdoor living environment you desire.  Stop by — we would love to hear what you are doing in your yard! We offer professional advice to help you with any of your questions or concerns.

We now have delicious homemade Soups & Sandwiches. Be sure to check out our Menu!

New for Winter 2013- 2014! This winter we are introducing our first farm share. What is a farm share? It is an opportunity to sign up for a weekly share of what we grow and cook here at Highland Avenue Greenhouse. When you sign up for our farm share you will receive a share of what we produce for 10 to 20 weeks over the winter. Download the application by clicking on this link Winter Farm Share 2013- 2014 , then just fill it out and bring it in to reserve your share of what we produce here in the winter months!

Oh Yeah! We are now selling lobsters. The very lobsters Maine is known for from the cold waters off of Cape Elizabeth. They are caught and sold by our family, Sam and Ernie Tweedie.
